JAE was the first event in the UK to bring you Drift Taxis. Okay, at the time we simply called them Drift Passenger Rides but way back as far as 20015, JAE was organising drift experiences for those that wanted to know what it was like to go sideways. Manhy events have sinced copied JAE's lead and now Drift Taxis can be found at other events. But, to celebrate ten years of Drifting Passenger Rides in the Uk we are bringing back Drift Taxis.
JAE is now the first event to bring you Drfiting Lessons. In the form of a one hour experience we hope this gives you a taster and if you want to take it further L2D will be on hand to help and advise the next steps and how to book more lessons.
Team years is a long time to wait but adding L2D Drift Lessons to Drift Taxis we think you'll agree it's long overdue but worth the wait.
See you on track - sideways!
Crashman Stunts will be on hand at JAE to do what he does best and to give a real smash of a show. But now, for the first time ever at JAE Crashman is teaming up with Team Daring Dante to bring you a more explosive show than ever before!
Shows will take place on Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. There will be a break from the Drifting Lessons and Drift taxis and also from the off-road 4x4 course so everyone can watch Crashman and Daring Dante do what they do best! Car Crashes, Fire Stunts and Pyrotechnics, Precision Driving and, for those brave enough, passenger rides! A show not to be missed and something very new for JAE.
Crashman will also be trying to break the ultimate in precision driving records. He will be attempting to slide his car between two parked cars with only millimeters to spare. If he does it this will be a second world record for JAE and a whole new world record for Crashman!
See you at the show!
JAE is unique in so many ways not least of which is the fact that the organisers don't have all the ideas and those that come bring their own brand of madness to the event. And so it was several years ago when a few clubs started dressing up. First it was for their club's themed dinners and latterly just an excuse for anyone and everyone to indulge in some good old fashion dress up. We soon realised this was somehting many people wanted to do and without any push from the orgniserrs became the Saturday night ritual for many.
Like roaming minstrels those dressed up go walkabout around the JAE event meeting fellow revellers and dropping by on other car clubs. Such is the number of people coming to JAE to dress up that we now have our very own Best Dressed Car Club award which is judged just before the awards presentation on Saturday night.
2015 is no different only with a bigger JAE expect to see more fancy dress and more people joining in. From young to old, everyone is welcome and two years ago the club that won Best dressed did so with a lot of help from a three year old Spiderman!
If you don't want t dress up then enjoy the cavalcade of people wandering around JAE on Saturday, but if you do..... have fun and see you at the awards evening!
