JAE 2017 see’s the return of RC racing after a 2 year break, and not just racing
For the first time Kettering Model Car Club (KMCC) are bringing their purpose built carpet RC racing track to host all manner of 'on-road' cars throughout the weekend. The highlight of which will be a full on race meeting being held on the Saturday for the ever popular Tamiya M Chassis class of cars, the car most well known for wearing the classic Mini body. For this event though the cars are going all Japanese in theme, so all the cars will be dressed in mini representations of Japanese cars for what we are calling ‘The Kei Car GP'. Civic’s, CRX’s, Swift’s, MX5’s and many more, lots of small Japanese cars battling it out through qualifying races and Finals to see who will take home the winner's trophy.
In addition to the on-road racing we have signed up the popular midlands based RC Drift group Midlands Drift Society (MDS), to bring along their stunning scale drift track and show you all what RC drifting is all about. You can expect amazingly detailed RC cars and track decoration plus action packed drift demo's and challenges.
So whether your thing is action packed door to door racing, or the graceful precision of a pack of cars sliding millimeters from each other, we will have you covered.
