japanese gameshowHKS - the giant of the Japanese after market and tuning scene has long been a sponsor, and key part, of JAE. Now, for 2017 instead of just sitting on the sidelines and watching the famous HKS IKO they have decided to try and win their very own trophy!

HKS representatives have long been keen to come to the UK and see at first hand what JAE is all about, meet some of their customers and understand more about the UK market. However this has now blossomed into something even better! The HKS Team not only want to come to JAE, they want to take part in their very own IKO. Better than that they are determined to win it as well! Having spoken to Maz of HKS on many occasions about this he's even suggesting we beef up the games and make it even more outrageous - just as the Japanese would like it! So watch out for some amazing challenges at this year's JAE as HKS go all out to win their own trophy. Any rumours that they might bring a retired Sumo Wrestler over to win the car pull, strong man competition and tug of war have not been confirmed, but don't put it past them.

The HKS IKO has just gone up to a whole new level!

31 August cannot get here soon enough!............

rep2The Car Club Reps meeting for JAE 2017 was the biggest turnout by far. 93 Club Reps from across the UK came to hear about the new stuff we have planned for 2017 – and boy were they pleased they made it, some all the way from Scotland!

The new venue has proven to be a smash hit with the Car Club reps. The meeting was held in the huge hall which will hold our biggest ever Show n Shine and  also our Race Car Paddock and invitation show cars. After the meeting we had a walk about the venue – occasionally interrupted by speedway riders – to look at the layout, club locations, trade, Admin and where all the activities and events will take place.

Despite the much bigger venue, the huge indoor hall and the large communal areas and bars the entry price for JAE remains the same! You get a whole lot more for the exact same price. In fact for some JAE 2017 is even cheaper than before!

New for 2017 we have a FAMILY TICKET: two adults and three children up to the age of 16 can now get in for £90 – the price of just two full adult tickets. Under-12s still get in for free anyway, as long as they are with an adult.

In addition we have also, at the request of the Car Club Reps, extended the discount ticket offer. Buy 10 and you not only get 1 free but we also waive the admin booking fee. But you only have until 4 May to do this, so get organised and get ordering your tickets NOW!

JAE is still packed with all the good stuff from before:

  • Dodo Juice Show n Shine
  • HKS IKO (It’s a Knockout)
  • Greenlight Insurance firework display (now even bigger for 2017)
  • Interclub competitions and events
  • Kuiza – our very own ‘pub quiz’
  • Free off-road 4x4 area
  • Cosplay
  • Kamikaze Wings
  • Japanese food Eating competition
  • Trade area
  • Quiet and family camping area

     …and a whole lot more

But if you thought that was a lot wait until you see what we have added already

  • Much bigger Show n Shine competition
  • Race Car paddock display
  • Drift Taxis – JAE was the first event in the UK to host Drift taxis, way back in 2005!
  • Funfair
  • Glamping – 2 or 4 berth
  • Too Good for the Car park – car display for Jap car day visitors
  • Disco
  • Band
  • Karaoke
  • Extended IKO with new events and over three days

…….and we’re not done yet. Watch out for more updates as we get nearer JAE 2017

Shuto map 2017If you have not booked and you have about 30 cars then if you want your own dedicated plot you'll need to get a move on. Shuto only has one plot left!

A 30 car plot isn't just enough for 30 cars. In addition you get the same amount of additional space and more for your tents and communal area. Once Shuto is full there will be no more plots of this size available.
